                                                           A coin for a thought          The 13th of December was our last GNCT session for the 1st year. Like all other days of GNCT, we had an interesting session. First, Miss.Sarasi collected a coin from each of us and all the coins were put in to a purse. Then the purse was rotated through the class and the moment where Miss.Sarasi tapped the table, the person with the purse had to take a coin out and he had to speak about the memories he had related to the year of the coin. The session was going awesome as this was totally impromptu and our colleagues were bringing out some funny and interesting things happened to them in the respective years.                                                                 Culture           In Software Engineering at university  of Kelaniya GNCT course we did small activity in our lecture.  We had to do is a create a our own culture. That means we must have our own language, Our own traditions, Our own country, National Anthem, Songs, Dances and Activities. First we were divided in to two groups and one group has 10 members. All we had to do is perform a small act using our new created culture. That means we had to act a small activity, Sing National anthem using language that we created,and sing a song and dance.                                    STANDING ON A PAPER The teacher entered to class with few papers and we knew this is also a for an interesting game.And then teacher gave a brief description about the game that we about to play.As every game this game also have some rules.So the first one is we cannot break the paper.Then she said that after first round she say what to do next. So the first round started and Our team hadn't had a strategy how to stand on that little paper.Because all teams had eight members in their team.So the game began. Everyone stand in a way that they like.So in result of that we ended up tearing the paper into few pieces.So we were out on the first round.                                                                   PAPER TOWER  Today I’m going to talk about another enjoyable game which we played in last week.It's name was paper tower.We were divided to three groups and given six papers with tapes.We were instructed to create a tower.The tallest and the most steadiest tower will be the best tower. How ever we had only thirty minutes and happily we could manage the time. First we planed about our tower. We had so many different ideas and finally we decided to a way to create our tower.                                                                 EGG COVER There is an interesting game called egg cover.And we were divided into five groups and given five papers and an egg. After that we didn't know what to do. The teacher told us to create something to protect the given egg with given papers. So we had a lot of ideas to protect the egg. One is to create a parachute. The second one was to create a box and put that egg to it and have piece of paper inside the box as well.We consider both of their ideas and we came to an conclusion to combine both ideas.          What we had to do is create a egg cover to our egg.                                                              BURTER PUZZLE On 11th of October for our GNCT lecture we had a activity called Burter Puzzle. Then we were divided into four groups and we were provided a calender paper, a pair of scissor, an envelop. then madam asked two members in each group come forward and cut their calender paper into 95 pieces without seeing the front picture in it. We were instructed to take 10 pieces and exchange it with other groups and then we started to prepare our picture as much as possible. Within on that day we couldn't complete it so that we have to continue it on next day also.                                                               LAVA RIVER Another day we were asked to play a game called lava river.And it was awesome game. There were four teams in competition.Our task was to cross a lava river using given stones.As any game this game also has several rules.They are each and every stone needs human touch otherwise the team will lose that stones and if you touch the ground it means you have step on the lava.So that team has lose the one attempt and have to restart crossing the lava river.And hardest thing was each and every team has four paper sheets as stones and team consist of eight members.
